Locals Only (kind-of) Bingo Wave

All round waterman/river surfer Eric Thomas’ face says it all, “.. SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS?”. Adam ripping it up on a Taquito no leash!

Bingo is a not an easy spot to surf. The wave is fickle, water is f’ng cold, the eddy service sucks, when season hits is mobbed by clueless tubers, leashes are sketch, no leash is sketch, etc. A challenge to surf but cool at the same time.

Long time locals who have surfed this spot before us “johnny-come-lately river surfers” showed up loath the fact that Bingo has ben blown up and can get crowded. Though the exact same locals do enjoy having someone to surf with there. Show respect to the locals and ask for advice from people who rip that spot like; Blair, Pat, and Mallory just to name a few.

  1. Golden is my favorite place to surf, where I started and learned and will always be my favorite!

  2. I love this wave. Never felt unwelcome from locals. It is small so it can get crowded quickly. Much nicer water than the Platte.
