Chatfield decreased to 80cfs at 11:30am Saturday, August 19, 2023. Sixx was surfed Friday at low flow but the Chatty drop to 80cfs will essentially take the surf out of Sixx, Chiclets, and Beavers and 16th to a point. Though the desperate surfers might hit Beavers anyway (it was surfed early Saturday) or Dave’s Wave

Sadly this takes Chiclets and Beavers out of play. Dave’s Wave is an option even when Chatfield is at minimal flow. Scout is looking good but RECOMMEND NOT USING A LEASH! Leashes are sketch right now at Scout. Board got hung up on the platform and surfer had to deploy quick release the other day.

On April 30th, 2022 17-year-old Ben Murphy, a local river surfer became stuck on the wave at Bend, OR. Mike Harvey is doing it right up in Salida as the brains and builder of the green faced Scout Wave and now a block away from the wave, a surf shop. Badfish Surf Shop opened up May 5th, 2023.
