Chatfield release will be decreased from 60cfs to 30cfs today Thursday, July 13, 2023.
As Casey says, “Rather have them save up the water and then send it in bulk later“… Essentially this will make Dave’s Wave the spot to try to learn to surf… Needs a Taquito or bigger longboard or possibly a Wave-O or other inflatable. Bingo was sole surfed this morning. So, there is that spot […]
No changes today to Chatfield Reservoir release Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
Late update. Come on rain! LBK
Chatfield Reservoir release will be decreased from 100 to 60 cfs today Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at around 12:00 pm
Get your gold pans out and start sifting for lost surfboard fins…. Chiclets will likely be out of range for anything under an inflatable…. Beavers will still be surfable with higher volume boards… Dave’s Wave is likely still w/ too much flow but might be worth a look if you live that way… Bingo wave?… […]
Chatfield Release will be decreased from 300 to 100 cfs today Monday, July 10, 2023 at around 11:15 am.
First pause of the Denver 20213 river surfing season will happen today by about 2pm when the flow subsides at RRP. Possibly Sixx will surfable after the drop with some ambient flow in the river but that puts things on the edge of surfable for Sixx at 130cfs-ish. Really doubt the waveshaper volunteers will venture […]
Chatfield Reservoir release was decreased from 400 to 300 cfs today Saturday, July 8, 2023.
Still respectable flow but will likely need some waveshaping at RRP…. Exact time of change is was not stated but likely 10:30am.
Chatfield release was decreased from 460 to 400 cfs today Friday, July 7, 2023.
Appears the drop happened about 9:45am but will not have much impact on RRP surf… So if you got a surfboard then, SMOKE ‘EM IF YA GOT ‘EM…
Chatfield Reservoir release was increased from 340 to 460 cfs today Thursday, July 6, 2023
Chatty upward at 9am. Sixx is surfing nice. Might need a tun by noonish. Ellie surfing Sixx this AM!
Chatfield Reservoir release increased from 240cfs to 340cfs Wed 7/5/2023
The official/formal word just received. Getting a 100cfs more from Chatty today that was released at 10:15am. With the S. Platte rain bump from last night and rain water working its way down from the foothills, the current Union (RRP) gauge is somewhere around 330cfs….. Should see continued 300cfs-ish and possibly 400cfs+/- at RRP at […]
Chatfield remains at 240cfs for the 4th of July 2023.
Enjoy the surf responsibly today!!! Sixx is cranking good. Reports of 5 minute rides on Chiclets this morning. Benni’s prob needs a bit more zing in the shape but is surfable. And a couple of fools were headed to Bingo Wave this morning to try to score some surf (actually try to score some parking)…. […]
