About The Denver Surf Report

LBK surfing RRP Wave Sixx at 250cfs+/- on a 5’10” soft-top fish

The Denver Surf Report is simply a blog as an updating dynamic source for local landlocked surfers and visiting surfers to know when, where, and how to go river surfing in the front range of Colorado.

The Denver Surf Report is created for surfers fighting for their rights to river surf and/or demanding transparency of information regarding river surfing.

The Denver Surf Report is also a blog daring to help grow the local river surfing scene in the Metro-Denver area proving more quality river waves should be built for all of us to surf…..

Lastly the Denver Surf Report is willing to address issues that are often not spoken about such as river surfing safety, combating localism, lack of cooperation, etc. The Denver Surf Report is far from perfect and will make mistakes; but, the failures of “group think” and bad heuristic decision making has no place in river surfing in general… Let’s be safe and have fun doing it while we river surf as a community.

RIVER SURFING IS DANGEROUS AND CAN BE DEADLY- educate yourself before trying to river surfdon’t just blindly copy other river surfers… figure out how to safely river surf each individual spot (including different flows)….. and be critical in your decisions of what gear to use and not to use…… WHEN IN DOUBT, DON’T GO OUT!
