Mega thanks to all of who have read “The Denver Surf Report” this past 2024 river surfing season. Has been my joy helping you score surf in our landlocked state of Colorado, especially in metro-Denver and traveling out of the Front Range to surf.
Will post up some occasional river surfing reports if and when the surf pops up at RRP and P-town’s new wave. Will also post up random river surfing related stories over the fall, winter, and into next spring.
For example, the Scout Wave in Salida should be holding steady with surfable native river flow in the Arkansas River to about mid November. So check the Salida gauge for anything over 350cfs to potentially surf. Then look at the pole cam to see how it is surfing.

Note, it gets real cold at the Scout Wave starting late October or early November and you will need a quality 5/4 or 6/5 wetsuit w/ hoodie, 7mm booties, and 7mm gloves by mid to late November.
The Denver Surf report will also be toying around with some ideas on how to improve our surf reports and forecasting for next season.
Hope to see you in some cold ass surf or when the 2025 river surfing season comes in!
Respects to you all.
