Chatty 25cfs (RRP done?; P-town shallow surf; Scout drops a bit)

The main reservoir gate release will be reduced from 45 to 25 cfs, and the fish hatchery will remain 5 cfs today, Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

$4.75

RRP: 35cfs+/- (predicted) Looking like the flow out of Chatfield reservoir is done for the rest of the year. Only possible exception would be if the Front Range is inundated with a late summer storm of epic proportion, that has happened but unlikely. Though we might get some rain later today… So keep an eye on the clouds, the Union gauge, the Sixx Pole cam, and gather up $4.75; because, all that most likely will only get you or even Kelly Slater is a cup of coffee.

Pueblo: 372cfs+/- Pueblo Reservoir/Dam stepped down about another 30cfs today. Kind of just guessing here, but hope the P-town new wave will be surfable. If you plan to surf it, check the gauges often today and look at the time stamp as well to make sure the flow amounts are accurate to your Timex watch.

Scout: 444cfs+/- Scout Wave is is still surfing tall while showing signs of collapsing but quickly cleaning up. Amazing how the wave is holding.
