Chatty??? (RRP poor; P-town new wave still has surf; Scout surfable)

Tuesday 9/3/24 noon update… (no word yet from Chatfield Dam, assume Chatty staying at 75cfs or might even drop)

P-town new wave being surfed Labor Day 2024 at about 400cfs

RRP: 109cfs+/- You might catch some small surf for a few hours longer but will need a very high volume board to surf either Chiclets or Sixx.

If we get a bump up, I will let you know. But will not update if flow goes down. So check the Chatfield gauge if you plan to low flow surf RRP today.

Pueblo: 380cfs+/- (predicted) Another reduction of flow out of the Pueblo Reservoir/Dam this AM but the P-town new wave will be surfable again a bit softer than yesterday.

Key to Pueblo surf is to watch the gauge closest to the Pueblo Dam. What happens there will be hitting the waves in town in about an hour or so. See the link to the gauge below.

(Advocating again that the P-town new wave’s back-pool should be raised up to stand up P-town new wave to mimic Scout Wave that is steeper at these flows and is still safe for tubing.)

Scout: 459cfs+/- Scout Wave is surfing tall while the tubers and boaters pass through it safely with big smiles…..
