Chatty 85cfs (Chiclets; P-town Happy Hour; Scout remains)

The main reservoir gate release will increase from 60 to 85 cfs, and the fish hatchery will remain at 5 cfs today, Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

Where there is a will, there is a way, and a wave (unknown surfer at P-town new wave Tues morning 8/27/24, photographer is still hitchhiking it)

RRP: 95cfs+/- (predicted) We got a slight bump up from Chatfield that will make Chiclets fun to surf with a larger volume board or bodyboard.

Pueblo: 378cfs+/- Yes, P-town new wave was surfed this AM at 375cfs. Apparently they have more work right at the new wave on the bike path side to do this week. They even hired a security guard to chase you away until 5pm, unless you figure out how to get to the path and walk up river. Though you will have to paddle the last 50 yards to the wave (per the security guard) and can’t put anything on the river banks like your bags.

Best plan this week is to surf it happy hour starting after 5pm or 6pm (depending if the construction crew is getting some overtime in).

Security guard said they hope to have the work done on the bike path side by Friday 5pm and then that side of the wave should be open to the public from there on…. NO GUARANTEES FOLKS!!!

Scout: 550cfs+/- Still surfing good though shallow with a fin eater at the bottom of the wave.

Busy doing chores that I pushed off during the season..
