Chatty ups to 70cfs (Pueblo Pops Up/Scout hits VFMP/Board Deals)

No official word but it looks like they only went to 70cfs out of the dam.

RRP: Not enough flow to surf unless you got a huge inflatable board at Chiclets… Too bad the S. Platte River does not have a VFMP (like the Upper Ark River has) that would parse out surfable flow at an agreed upon recreation and environmental flow during practical extended times that would in essence not just blow the flow out in a bell curve!

Scout: 725cfs+/- is surfable at the Voluntary Flow Management Program water flow level….

Pueblo: 900cfs+/- P-town has a release bump. No idea if or how long it will last.

Surf Gear Deals: Ran into a possible killer deal for the right person. Lib-tech Funnelator 5’6” 20” x 2.35 x 31 liters w/ tail pad (no fins) lightly used $300 + shipping at Asylum Surf Shop in Oceanside, CA (760) 722-7101.

Note, this could be a step-up board for a smaller/lighter river surfer or a main go-to board for a bigger rider as a quiver killer for Sixx/Scout/P-town board at good flows. Buy the Lib-tech inexpensive 5 fin set (strongest fins out there for Libs only) from Evo along w/ a bar of wax to get free shipping- https://www.evo.com/fins/lib-tech-poly-reinforced-5-fin-set

5’6” Lib Funnelator (top)
5’6” Lib Funnelator (bottom)

Also the same Asylum Surf Shop they have an older used Lib Lost Quiver Killer 5’10” x 20 x 2.5” x 32 Liter (w/out fins) for $300 + shipping. Definitely a step-up board for river surfing. Still a descent price deal for a board that might be worth a gamble for someone looking for an answer to the flushy not as steep wave days at P-town New Wave or Scout but still want a performance short board feel from a step-up surfboard…. Get the Lib-tech inexpensive 5 fin set for it.

Excuse the ugly mug of me holding the used Lib Lost Quiver Killer 5’10” at Asylum Surf Shop, Oceanside, CA
Same ugly mug, same board

Laters…. I’m going matsurfing.
