The main reservoir release gate will remain at 600 cfs, and the fish hatchery will remain at 5 cfs today, Monday, July 1, 2024.
Amazing that this being the first day of July and we are still seeing 600cfs out to the Chatfield Dam along with more than another 100cfs native flow in the S. Platte for a total of 700cfs bouncing up and down around 750cfs. Just as amazing, is that at this higher flow you can surf all three waves at RRP right now.
- Sixx has remained with just enough surfable face to get this real fun mellow ride that greens out somewhat when you make turns on your surf-craft of choice (surfboard, bodyboard, surfmat, etc)
- Big Benni’s is shaped perfect and the go-to-wave to surf at RRP.
- Chiclets has a fun face that can be surfed, though a bit whitewater hole like.
Going to keep it short since it is Monday, but if you get a break today or later in the day, go surf the waves at RRP.
