Chatty to 1,400cfs (RRP Expert Only)

The main reservoir release gate will be increased from 600 to 1400 cfs, and the fish hatchery will remain at 5 cfs today, Thursday, May 16, 2024.

Chatfield is releasing an incredibly high amount of water. Benni’s will likely need to be shaped again for this flow…. RRP will be expert only.

This is where knowledge and skills in river surfing are needed to surf Big Benni’s. Chiclets becomes a real hazard to watch out for if swept down from Benni’s. The eddy lines for Benni’s literally becomes only a few feet wide.

Experience will be needed to surf Benni’s.
