Chatty Rumored to 400cfs (Sunday Was Epic will be similar later today into tomorrow)

Still waiting for the official word, though intel is 1:30pm the Chatfield release goes up to 400cfs.

Sixx will be at “code red” (excellent range) late this afternoon or this evening. Be cool if the lineup gets long and limit your rides to like 30 to 45 seconds max. Benni’s was shaped yesterday, so that wave will be good. Chiclets will start to blow out but kayakers will be on it for sure.

TIP: Keep an eye on rain bumps for short blasts of surfable waves lasting a day or sometimes only hours. Yesterday was an example. The continuous and at times heavy rains late Saturday into Sunday created excellent surf for RRP and Trestles that lasted most of Sunday…. Sure the wave gendarme cautions “it’s dangerous to surf gutter bump waves” but sometimes you got to get into the dirty water to get good surf…. Reality is the brown water is mud/silt and not all that worse than dam release water. Even ocean surfed places like SoCal, the water often is not demonstrably any cleaner (and at times dirtier) than our gutter bump river wave surf.

Go get some surf.
