The main reservoir release gate will be decreased from 75 cfs to 50 cfs, and the fish hatchery will remain at 5 cfs today, Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
Not surprising though rain is in the forecast later in the week and next week but not looking like the torrential precipitation we need for surf. Also not seeing much in water calls by the farmers.
Hang loose during this flat spell. Hopefully regular season starts up soon again with water calls bringing up the flow to RRP.
Beavers seems to be surprisingly still surfable if you got a board with volume like a longboard. Here is the intel on Beavers Wave: http://endlesswaves.net/waves/beaver-wave/
Scout Wave in Salida is around 550cfs and not sure how steep it is surfing at that flow. If you head that way, bring a bigger backup board just in case it not as vertical you need to stay on the wave.
