No change at Chatfield today. The main reservoir release gate will remain at 212 cfs, and the fish hatchery will remain at 5 cfs today, Monday, May 6, 2024.

Bitter sweet surf report today w/ Chatfield giving us surfable flow at 212cfs plus some native flow in the river; though, winds at 20mph gusting upwards to 40mph is making the 55° water chilly on the wetsuits and will be a bit harder to manage jumping on the wave and surfing with the gusty winds.
Did see some brave surfers on the Sixx Pole Cam earlier today. Wonder if anyone else will go out for the after work surf session. It is surfable. Here is the cam link: https://www.senserasystems.com/public/embed/3M7824646H83
Winds will be hard on us for rest of today and tomorrow. Wed should calm down a bit and then there is an outside chance of precipitation late week. No idea what the Chatfield water management team will do for flow release in the next day(s). Hope it holds but never know, so you might want to give it a go (despite the windy conditions) while the flow is here and get some turns in.
