- Wavestorm 5Ft 6In New Modern Swallow Tail $200– Good entry level board that some folks rip beyond belief.. Search around, maybe CostCo or Amazon (ugghhh)
- Bodyboards– River surfing bodyboards is beyond cool. Newbie to expert f’ng rip on a bodyboard in river waves. Badfish makes a cheapo model, GT will be out with a river specific bodyboard soon, and there are other bad ass no crap bodyboard companies out there from places like Portugal that rip it in the river… Start with GT as they are promoting river surfing https://www.gtboards.com/index.html
Truth is, try others peoples surfboards at the river waves and find something you like. Sometimes a quiver of boards is what you need or find a “quiver killer” for yourself from a local shaper or some odd find on the internets. Do yourself a favor and stay away from traditional wakeboards that are heavy and have too sharp of an edge nose to tail… Surfboard style is what you need.
