These low multi-day partial releases are a prime example of why the S Platte River needs some sort of recreational/environmental Voluntary Flow Management Program (VFMP) like the Arkansas Head Water Recreation Area does for the Arkansas River (BV and Salida).
Speaking of Salida…. See pic below at Scout yesterday with CPW law enforcement officer giving out verbal warnings for surfing without a CGA pfd (impact vests and wakesurf comp vests do not meet the standard by the way).
Look for a write-up shortly on the pfd situation that will likely impact the entire state of Colorado river surfing.
