Chatfield Reservoir release was set to 100 yesterday. The release will increase from 100 to 250 cfs today, Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

Well, half the story. It was announced 300cfs yesterday by the DWR Chatfield Reservoir Operations Team though we only got like 94cfs plus some rain bump.

So why only a partial release? Was it the broken Chatfield gauge that causes them to hold back? Did somebody not get the release memo? Enquiring minds just want to surf!

So don’t hold your breath but we should get some Sixx surf sometime today…. Maybe.
