Locally in Metro-Denver: Bingo Wave in Golden is looking nice; Beavers Wave (http://endlesswaves.net/waves/beaver-wave/) has yet to be surfed this week but is there for the asking…. RRP (Sixx/Benni’s/Chiclets) is taking a break with too low of flow to surf, but there is an interesting non-consumptive junior water rights call that was made noon yesterday. Will be keeping an eye on how they treat the call for flow today…. Will update with the Chatty water release later this morning to see if RRP will be surfable again soon.
The Denver surf crew will be hitting the Scout Wave in Salida for the next few days while showing respects to the locals and spending copious amounts of $$$ in the town of Salida. Come and surf with us!!!!

SURF TRIVIA/ANSWER: Will take a pause today in a moment of respect for the loss of pro surfer/freesurfer and remarkable barrel rider, Mikala Jones (44 yrs old), who died while surfing the Mentawai Islands in Indonesia on Sunday from a fin cut to his femoral artery.
