Another hot and sunny day. Watching the indicators to see if any flow changes will be made but morning to early afternoon looks surfable…. RRP gauge is showing a respectable 325+/-cfs on the gauge. Sixx was shaped for this level late yesterday. Benni’s was looking darn good also. Chiclets looks surfable and has a green face with a pile (foamie) section in the middle.
Golden is surfable but it will be better to go to RRP.
Pueblo looks good if you are looking for a day trip. But educate yourself on that wave, know before you go, and if in doubt, don’t go out.
RIVER SURF TIP: In river surfing, the surfboard hunts your head with or without a leash. If you come off the wave, don’t have control of your board, and get submerged; come up with your hands protecting your head/face. This holds true even if you are wearing a helmet since boards will hit you in the face. Also watch other surfers to see what is happening to their boards when they fall. Gives you a good idea how your board will react like when you fall…. Be smart and be safe!
