Chatfield will reduce to 300 cfs 7/2/23 (Tip: Caution, Board Behind Wave)

Chatty drop basically still keeps RRP in play. Sixx will need a tune later today. Benni’s will likely need a tune and skate in will be probably the way to surf it. Chiclets be bet better today.

Longmont’s “All Day Wave” was surfed yesterday by locals Fred and Melissa. River surfing is truly all about having fun and Longmont is a fun small wave spot to surf right now. Here is info on Longmont- https://denversurfreport.blog/2023/06/26/bridge-wave-longmont-co/

RIVER SURFING TIP: Look before you leap and make sure the surfer’s board before you has cleared out or you my get a nasty hit by an unsuspected board (if you don’t make your drop). This even happens with tethered boards on leashes…. Also, sometimes a the prior person’s board might even get sucked back into the wave you are surfing…. Be smart/patient/safe!

SURF TRIVIA: Name two WSL pro surfer who have surfed the Eisbach Wave.

PRIOR SURF TRIVIA ANSWER: The birth place of modern river surfing is Eisbach Wave (Munich, Germany). The Eisbach Wave has been surfed illegally since the early 1970’s abut became legal to surf in 2010 but was not really known until to the world as a surf spot for years after that. Eisbach Wave is not an easy wave to surf. Ask Lane Ruotsala, local metro-Denver surfer, about Eisbach Wave, he surfed it a few months back.
