Sunny Saturday surf at RRP into dawn patrol/morning Sunday. Sixx will be in epic; Benni’s will be fun and usually has no lineup when Sixx is crowded; Chiclets has a fun left green face that is surfable and might grow wider when surfing.

SURF TRIVIA: What wave is arguably the birthplace of modern river surfing?

RIVER SURF TIP: Paddling a surfboard in the ocean and/or river is done using alternating arms (not double arms). Watch the vid below for board positioning, arm movement, etc. It will help you paddle out of the wave-train to the eddy back up to the river wave, into the river wave, and is much more efficient when you paddle your surfboard correctly in the river. Especially when the “swim leash drag thing” is not working or you don’t have leash…. psst… NO DOUBLE ARM PADDLING!.
