Surf Forecast Mon AM 6/26/23 Sixx? (Surf Triv- GOAT)

Strontia just dropped by 70cfs at 8am. Brent will at least match Chatty and that might put RRP at 650cfs+/- or lower later today and will be surfable. Indicators are we might even get lower flow out of the dam! Keep an eye on the RRP gauge and pole cam to confirm. Actually people were surfing Sixx yesterday at just above 700cfs. Will update when the official word comes in from DWR.

Benni’s will be fun but keep an eye on each other after coming off the wave, especially for people getting stuck next to the eddy dead zones just off the corners off the wave. If you are in that area remain calm and work your way toward to the wave train and it will flush you out down river.

Chiclets was a hole but might be surfable. Keep an eye out for a green face as the flow drops.

Bingo Wave in Golden is up but as always: Educate yourself on the waves you are about to surf; Know before go surfing, the conditions; When in doubt, don’t go out. Bingo 411 http://endlesswaves.net/waves/golden-whitewater-park/

Pueblo has water but like Bingo, educate yourself, know conditions (cfs), and if in doubt (skip it and surf another spot). Pueblo 411 http://endlesswaves.net/waves/pueblo-park/

And for you non-subscribers who should subscribe to the report, a small wave was surfed in Longmont yesterday. Here is the link to that wave…. Prob only comes during high flow years and events.. https://denversurfreport.blog/2023/06/26/bridge-wave-longmont-co/

Casey Cupp cross-stepping proper like at the “Bridge Wave” in Longmont yesterday.

SURF TRIVIA: Who is the GOAT (greatest of all times) of skimboarding? Hint, he has skimboarded our waves in ColoRADo including Benni’s recently!

PREVIOUS SURF TRIVIA ANSWER: Iconic surf brand Channel Islands Surfboards (CI) was purchased from Al Merrick in 2006 by Jake Burton Carpenter, founder of iconic brand Burton Snowboards and avid surfer. After Jake’s passing in November 20, 2019 at age 65 from cancer, his wife Donna Carpenter took over running Burton Snowboards. In 2021, Britt Merrick, son of Al Merrick, headed up a CI employee company buy back of CI.
