Sidewalks, skateparks, pools, pump tracks, backyard ramps, ditches, and street spots all will be going off today on annual Go Skateboarding day that happens June 21st every year. Get some skateboarding in today or at least show some respect and love to anyone you happen to see skateboarding.
Chatty release remains high today, Wednesday, at 680cfs and means Wave Sixx is just out reach but as always keep an eye on the RRP gauge and Sixx pole cam. Big Benni’s is the spot to surf, hopefully the shape holds. Yesterday it got shaped in the afternoon and a raging skateboard ramp like surf session ensued. Chiclets is a wide crumbly wave right now but is longboardable. Keep an eye on Chiclets as it might green up like it was doing on the left side of the wave. Bingo Wave in Golden is surfable but the wave is much better at Benni’s. Pueblo Waves are in at 2,400cfs and word is, it real good and sadly barely anybody surfs there. Pueblo is a bit more of an experienced river surfers spot so don’t take it lightly and unfortunately it is really a spot you have to wear a leash (use a quick release and know how to use it). Here is the intel on the Pueblo Waves: http://endlesswaves.net/waves/pueblo-park/

SURF TRIVIA: Skateboarding was born out of surfing and skateboarding still to this day echos surfing on a wave; however, skateboarding style now influences surfing with radical maneuvers such as airs, etc. Name at least three skateboard moves that are directly connected to surfing.
LAST SURF TRIVIA ANSWER: Australian pro surfer Simon Anderson, in the early 1980’s, came up with the three-fin surfboard that we now call a “thruster” and revolutionized surfing with a board that could turn quickly and hold the down-the-line power and speed. Anderson on this three-fin set up won iconic surf competitions in 1981, the Bells Beach and the Pipeline Masters. Anderson purposefully never patented the three-fin surfboard and let the surfboard shapers and board manufacturers use his idea gratis/for free.
