Matt Brown before he passed away a few years back was the number one fan of “Surf Collusion Zine”. Cool story of this double exposure photo from 1982 of Matt graduating on stage and me doing a frontside grind at “Still Waves” bowl. Yes, the actual name of that bowl.
Back in 1982, Matt Brown borrowed his sister’s 35mm SLR camera and shot a complete roll of us skating Crofton Skatepark in Maryland (when it was shut down, out of business and we would often jump the fence to skate it).
Couple of months later, Matt’s sister thought she had found a new roll of film, loaded it, and took pics of our 1982 graduation at Hammond High in Columbia, MD. It was not until the pics came back from the film developer/printer shop that they realized the double exposure…
There are others pics from that roll, but that was the best one…
Matt’s sister was bummed. We thought the mistake was rad!!!!
