Chatfield Reservoir release will remain 30 cfs today, Wednesday, May 3, 2023

SURF FORECAST (5/3/23 Noon): Per Brent, the flow stays the same out of Chatfield today at 30cfs… RRP (Chiclets) is out of play at 56cfs. Beavers is still in play hovering just below a 100cfs (94cfs w/ water temp rising from mid-50’s to the low-60’s) w/ a longboard or high volume board. Dave’s Wave is fun as the flow is likely on a rise to the 250cfs+/- this afternoon.

One bright spot is Scout is showing over 400cfs right not as the Ark flow is following the seasonal trend upwards. Check the Scout gauge: https://dwr.state.co.us/tools/stations/ARKSALCO?params=DISCHRG

So the season is about to let lose; get the work/home projects done, make sure your surfboards got fins (except for the finless crew), and contemplate road-tripping it to Salida for some fun Scout surf rumored to be this Friday w/ Adam and Quam and/or the weekend with Kenny.
